My Review of the Breville BEW600XL Hot Wok and BEW800XL Hot Wok Pro Electric Woks
Both the Breville BEW600XL and BEW800XL have a tight fitting lid that is dishwasher safe and composed of an easy to grip handle. Regardless of the knob being on the lid itself, it is always cool to the touch which is a reprieve to the unfortunate who mistakenly grab the hot handle. The large weight for the lid is effective for retaining heat and it does not allow condensation on it. The translucent surface enables you to view what you are cooking and it is also an important way to steam dishes.
Both of these appliances are big enough to make delicious Asian stir-fry for a large family. The Breville BEW800XL has a power input of 1800 watts (or 1.8 kilowatts) which means when the hot wok is ran continuously for two hours, it will have drawn only 3.6 units of electricity. At a 15 cent per kilowatt-hour energy rate, the cost per hour for the wok is only 27 cents. Therefore, it is very energy efficient. They both come with a considerably long power cord that makes it possible to place the equipment some few meters away from the socket outlet. The adjustable temperature settings allows you closely monitor what you are cooking.
The one thing that is common with the traditional frying pans is that, you have to scour hard to get off those sticky substances of whatever you fry, which get stuck on the bottom and on the walls of the pan. Over time, these marks permanently stick on the frying pan. This classy electric wok ensures stick-free cooking and no-scour cleaning. It is also easier and safer to wash.
It is impossible or difficult to bring your frying pan with your gas cooker outside, it actually makes no sense but that can be done with this sophisticated electric wok. This product is made of fine materials and can be used outdoors. The output heat from this equipment will cook meat and vegetables perfectly, giving them flavor and not affecting their texture. It is ideal for camping activities.
